Carlos Compagnucci, former coach of the ‘U’, makes the leap from Peruvian football to the Spanish League

After passing through University of Sports and Alianza Atlético de Sullana, who takes the reins of the Spanish La Liga club Cádiz.

Compagnucci was in charge of the ‘U’ at the start of the 2023 tournament, but resigned due to poor results. Then, he was hired by the Piuran team, in which he only directed 9 games.

At the beginning of 2004, Compagnucci returns as part of Mauricio Pellegrino’s technical commandwith whom he has worked in clubs such as Valencia (Spain), Estudiantes de la Plata (Argentina), Independiente (Argentina), Alavés and Leganés of Spain, Southampton (England) and Vélez Sarsfield (Argentina).

Cádiz announced this Wednesday the signing of Mauricio Pellegrino as the new coach of the first teamwhich is in a relegation position to the second division and has not won a game for more than four months.

Pellegrino, 52, joins the Cádiz team after having coached the University of Chile. He has signed until the end of the season.

Cádiz is eighteenth in the standings with 15 pointslocated one away from salvation with seventeen games left to play.
