Christofer Gonzáles: “Very nice feelings to play a classic after so many years”

Christofer ‘Canchita’ Gonzales he came back to University of Sports in 2024, the year in which the cream institution will celebrate 100 years of foundation, and had the opportunity to play a classic again, in which it emerged victorious.

The national midfielder highlighted the importance of winning a match of this relevance, but believes that there are details to improve for the rest of the season.

“Very nice feelings to play a classic after so many years. Every time I feel better and that is the idea, to feel 100%,” she said in statements to the press.

“The most important thing is that we could win, and then there are details that we must improve over time. We continue step by step with clear objectives,” she added.

‘Canchita’ is clear that the classics are very hard and despite not being played as one expects, the result is what rules.

“The classic is won, that is the most important thing. He gave himself up and left everything on the field. We know that this is not easy, this is long, it is just beginning, and we are getting the hang of what the coach wants, he pointed out.

“Many times you want to play nice, but the opponent is there to prevent it,” he concluded.
