Andreas Brehme passed away: Bayern Munich announced the death of the scorer of the goal in the 1990 Italy final

The German footballer Andreas Brehmewho scored the winning goal against Argentina with a penalty in the 1990 World Cup final in Italy, died in the early hours of Tuesday, February 20, at the age of 63, announced his former club, Bayern Munich.

“FC Bayern is deeply shocked by the sudden death of Andreas Brehme“the club said in a statement.

“We will always carry Andreas Brehme in the heart. As a world champion and as a very special person,” he added.

The club did not specify the cause of his death.
