The outstanding Peruvian athlete Diego Elias keep making history. This time, he was crowned champion of the 2024 Canada Open squash.
In the final he defeated the Egyptian Mazen Hesham 3-1 (11-2, 11-2, 9-11, 11-8).
“I feel super happy, very happy with the games I played all week. I was very good and solid. “I am very proud of myself,” he said after this important achievement.
“The crowd has been incredible. Here in Canada they love sport and support us every day. Every day has been packed and thank you all for coming all week,” he added.
This is his second championship of the 2024 season, as he also won the Capital Motor City Open.
