Pedro Aquino will undergo surgery: Will he miss the Copa América?

Pedro Aquino will undergo surgery in Mexico, the Santos Laguna club announced this Tuesday, which will spend at least a month without the Peruvian midfielder due to an injury that he has been carrying.

“Tomorrow midfielder Pedro Aquino will undergo a surgical procedure, derived from the injury he has in his right knee,” said the Mexican institution.

El Comercio learned that Pedro Aquino will have an arthroscopic intervention to clean the meniscus. This following the injury he suffered at the end of last year. The midfielder played this year without undergoing surgery, but he will finally have to do so.

WHEN IS AQUINO COMING BACK?

It would take between six and seven weeks for Aquino to return to play for Santos Laguna in Mexico.

DOES IT REACH THE AMERICAN CUP?

With the estimated deadlines, Pedro Aquino would have no problem being part of the Peruvian team that will compete in the next Copa América in the United States.
