A few weeks before the most important tournaments in South America begin, the Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana, Conmebol announced the important financial prizes that will be distributed.
“We have decided to increase the prizes, reaching a historic figure for world football. The CONMEBOL Libertadores 2024 final will be the best paid in the world,” said Alejandro Domínguez, president of this confederation.
Libertadores group stage participants will receive 1 million dollars, in addition to 330 thousand dollars for each match won. If they reach the round of 16 of the tournament they will receive 1 million 250 thousand dollars more.
