Peruvian defender Alexander Callens scored the goal that could have been 3-0 for Peru against Nicaraguaat the Matute stadium for the FIFA friendly, but the defender’s shout of joy was muffled as his score was invalidated due to offside.
This happened around the 66th minute of play, when Callens picked up the ball inside the Central American area, after a rebound given by the rival goalkeeper, and finished into the back of the visitors’ goal.
However, the Peruvian player was ahead and his goal could not raise the score in favor of the national team he leads. Jorge Fossati.
