Carlos Zambrano: “The counterattacks we did were good, but we were not effective”

The defender of Alianza Lima, Carlos Zambranohighlighted the good work of his team in the debut of Libertadores Cup against Fluminense, for Group A.

‘El León’ recognizes that despite having scoring chances, they lacked effectiveness in the rival area to take the three points.

“We knew his way of playing, the teacher worked well on him during the week. We had the clearest ones. I think we did a great job,” he said in statements to the press.

“The counterattacks we did were good, but we were not effective,” Zambrano added.

Alianza Lima and Fluminense tied 1-1 at the Alejandro Villanueva stadium. The intimates advanced with a goal from Kevin Serna, while the visiting team equalized with a score from Marquinhos.
