Gary Medelcurrent Vasco da Gama footballer, spoke out after not being taken into account in the first call for Ricardo Gareca to the Chilean team.
The brave defender was part of the golden generation of ‘La Roja’ and the fact that he is not part of the roster that played two games in Europe caught the attention of both the fans and the player himself.
“The truth is, yes, it surprised me. I have been going to the national team for 17 years, but it is respectable,” Medel said in statements to the press.
“They are decisions of the coaching staff and I am going to work for a new call. I will be available for everything as I have always done, I will be happy and with the same desire as always,” she added.
On the other hand, he commented that he had a dialogue with Gareca in the best of terms.
“We had a conversation that was super pleasant with his idea. He doesn’t have to explain anything to me, when he decides to call me I will be available and it’s simple, he can call you or not,” she concluded.
