Moisés Barack, former coach of Alianza, the ‘U’ and the Peruvian team, died at the age of 80

The former Peruvian soccer player and coach Moisés Barack died on Tuesday, April 9 in Lima at the age of 80. The news was confirmed by the technical director’s family.

The information was replicated in several media outlets in Bolivia, a country in which Moisés Barack directed several teams such as Bolívar, The Strongest, Oriente Petrolero, Destroyers and Jorge Wilstermann.

During his playing days, between 1959 and 1970, Barack wore the jerseys of clubs such as Gloria Youth, Iqueño Center, Sports University, Octavio Espinosa and Future Miraflores.

As a coach, the remembered ‘Moshe’ directed teams such as Alianza Lima, Universitario de Deportes, Sport Boys, Melgar FBC, Unión Huaral, Deportivo Municipal, Atlético Chalaco, Atlético Torino, Sport Huancayo and Sima Sportsamong others.

He was also coach of the Peruvian soccer team between 1984 and 1985, at the beginning of the qualifying process towards the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
