“To everyone’s surprise: very intrusive searches of Parisian supporters,” warned Anouche Morel, a Parisian supporter and president of the association Her Game Too France, early Tuesday on X. Her post was confirmed by other supporters. She tells us in detail about the somewhat chaotic and, most importantly, very intense search: “There were no clear and defined lines, everyone was crowded together. We were a small group of women and it was difficult for us to find the right line to search. When the steward tells me to come, I can already hear the Parisian fan being searched saying: damn, that’s strong, while she grabbed her breasts with both hands. Two seconds later the same thing happens to me. »
The searches in Spain are known for being particularly brutal, “but not with the intention of harming the physical integrity of spectators,” protests a young woman who made her first trip to Europe with her favorite club on Tuesday. Under no circumstances are you allowed to put your hands in your bra.”
Supporter claims man searched her
“After the breasts, she ran her hand between my buttocks and my pubis. Then he told me: turn around, and the same thing. At the moment I’m looking at other girls and wondering if I’m the only one who has experienced such a strange thing. Many said that they had never experienced something so strong and terrible. I was so disappointed. It was a special moment for me, I’m with friends, the match was crazy, but it was ruined by this thing… It’s a very cruel sight. »
In total, Anoush explains that she spoke to about twenty supporters, many of whom were in the parking lot, and they all described to her the same scene she experienced. Another testimony was given to him by a PSG fan who was searched by a man, which is theoretically prohibited. “We’ll have to do something, this happens every time we travel to Europe,” she whispers. Whether it was at the Parc or other stadiums that I was able to perform in France or in Europe, everything was always done with respect for our body. »
CUP and ANS responded quickly.
In the stands, she decides to try to warn the manager of Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP), who is also a delegate of the National Supporters Agency (ANS), an association that unites the French and defends their rights and interests. On Tuesday morning, ANS and Her Game Too published and shared a reporting form for fans who would like to report abusive searches, as well as for the club, which has been able to contact UEFA in the past when its fans have been victims of abusive searches. It seems that the searches, in particular in Lisbon, have already been reported. Romain Mabille, president of the CUP, also spoke to supporters.
“I’m glad the fans reacted so quickly, it makes me proud,” says Anouche Morel. What I’m about to say may sound crazy, but they had one more fish to fry before the game started.
