2024 Olympic Games in Paris: bronze medalist Marine Boyer on balance beam at the European Championships

New medal for Bleues de gymnastics! After Coleen Devilar, who became European champion on vault, and Ming Gherardi van Eyken, who finished third in the same final, Marine Boyer won the individual bronze medal at the European Championships on her favorite apparatus: the balance beam.

In Rimini (Italy), the Frenchwoman, who scored 14.033 points, was beaten only by the Italian Manila Esposito, already crowned in the all-around on Thursday and above the rest this Saturday (14.400 points), and the Romanian Sabrina Maneca-Voina already second in qualification (14.166 points).

This is Marine Boyer’s third individual medal at this competition, eight years after her first. In Bern (Switzerland) in 2016 and a few months before the Rio Olympics, where she placed 4th in the balance beam final, she won a silver medal. The Blues captain won bronze on the same apparatus two years later in Glasgow.
