Mapfre joins as sponsor of the CONMEBOL Libertadores

CONMEBOL and Mapfre announced their sponsorship agreement that establishes the presence of the insurance giant in the most important club competition in America. From May 2024 to December 2026, the Copa Libertadores will feature this firm as a sponsor, with a series of brand activations and promotions that will cover all the matches of the tournament in the participating countries.

Alejandro Domínguez, president of CONMEBOL, expressed his satisfaction with the agreement reached, recognizing the positive impact it will have on the CONMEBOL Libertadores, the most prestigious tournament in South America.

“We are very proud to sign this agreement with MAPFRE as Sponsor of the CONMEBOL Libertadores, the most prestigious tournament in South America. At CONMEBOL we want each competition to connect with the fan, increasing their passion and creating unique moments and experiences,” said the boss of the mother house of South American football.

With this strategic alliance, MAPFRE ensures broad visibility in the stadiums where the matches are played, with presence on the playing field, press conferences, mixed zones and lightning interviews. In addition, the company will carry out various activations inside and outside the stadiums, including the organization of activities with CONMEBOL legends and ambassadors, seeking to build a long-term emotional connection with the audience.

Antonio Huertas, president of Mapfre, highlighted the importance of this alliance, underlining the company’s commitment to what really matters for its millions of customers in Latin America, where football represents an irreplaceable cultural value.

“Football is a sport that promotes values ​​such as effort, teamwork, equality, inclusion, improvement or respect. That is why we have decided to take this step of sponsoring the CONMEBOL club competition to help promote sport in a continent united by a passion,” he noted.
