Pedro Gallese on debut in Copa América against Chile: “You always want to start winning”

Pedro Gallese is one of the references of the peruvian team and analyzed what will be the beginning of the America Cup under the command of the new red and white coach Jorge Fossati.

In dialogue with América Deportes, the Orlando City goalkeeper highlighted the importance of gaining and consolidating trust between the players and coaching staff and downplayed the fact that Chile is currently led by Ricardo Gareca.

“More than it is Chile or teacher Ricardo (Gareca), it is a very important match because it is the one that opens the Copa América. You always want to start winning,” Gallese said.

Along these lines, he recalled that Peru has been able to stand out in that competition and hopes that it will not be the exception in this edition that will be played in the United States.

“The last Copa Américas have been good, we have reached the final, we passed the group stage. We have always been on the podium and this time the important thing is to regain confidence to get to know the technical command and become strong in the Qualifiers,” noted the red and white goalkeeper.

It is worth mentioning that before starting the Copa América, Peru will play two friendlies against Paraguay and El Salvador.
