This Sunday, June 30, 2024, as part of the celebrations for World Refugee Day, UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) will organize a 6-kilometer solidarity race.
The race is scheduled to start in block 4 of Larco Avenue, in front of the Miraflores Municipal Palace, from 8:00 am
Participants will walk along Arequipa Avenue until they reach Javier Prado Avenue, where they will begin the return leg to the starting point.
At the end of the event, the comedian and actress Patricia Portocarrero will perform an entertaining musical show.
This sporting event is not only an opportunity to promote inclusion and support for people who had to flee their countries, but also a way to raise awareness in the community about the difficult situation that these people face when forced to leave their homes. in search of security and a new life.
