The Peruvian footballer Renato Tapia will not continue his sporting career in Celta Vigo and the Galician club said goodbye, thanking him for his services.
Through a post on his X account (formerly Twitter) he acknowledged the dedication of the national team for four seasons.

As we recall, Tapia decided to leave the Peruvian national team that competed in the Copa América in the United States.
The red-and-white midfielder argued that he could not put his sporting future at risk and that the Peruvian Football Federation did not comply with what was agreed regarding his sports insurance.
“However, knowing that today was the deadline for a formal and official solution, I did not receive any guarantees as I had been offered before the match against Paraguay. It is for this reason that I feel obliged to make this difficult decision, which I am sorry to have to accept,” added one of the team’s leaders, he wrote in a statement a few weeks ago.
