Barcelona condemns aggression by its fans against Ronald Koeman

Barcelona lost at home to Real Madrid and many of its fans did not forgive the defeat. A group of supporters attacked Ronald Koeman as he left the Camp Nou aboard his car. The fans culés approached to attack the trainer, something that the club did not ignore.

After that event, the Catalan cast spoke out through a statement and was against the violence suffered by the technician. “Barcelona publicly condemns the violent and contemptuous actions that our coach has experienced when leaving the Camp Nou”, wrote.

The club also warned that “It will take security and disciplinary measures so that such unfortunate events do not happen again.” So far, Ronald Koeman has not commented on the assault he suffered.

After the game, the Barça strategist did make a statement to the press and referred to the missed goal by Sergiño Dest “It is always difficult to understand (the analysis of the match). We made merits to obtain another result and especially in the first part. I think we lost a very clear opportunity to have 1-0 in our favor. Afterwards, it was already very complicated “he added.

Barcelona do not have a good time in the Spanish league (9th with 15 points) and not in the UEFA Champions League either. The Catalan team only adds one victory – against Dynamo Kiev – in three games. In addition, they suffered several thrashes at the hands of Bayern Munich and Benfica.

Koeman and a negative statistic

According to Mister Chip, Ronald Koeman is the second coach in the entire history of Barcelona to lose three consecutive classic. “The first was Patrick O’Connell, between December 1935 and June 1936 (with four consecutive defeats there is NO ONE)”he wrote on Twitter.
