Alison Reyes on Alianza Lima Lima vs. Corinthians: “A tough game, but it’s not impossible”

The Alianza Lima women’s soccer team made history by being the first Peruvian club to qualify for the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores after beating Real Tomayapo 5-0. Corinthians will be the next opponent to beat this Saturday and the captain of the Blue and White team, Alison Reyes, knows it will be a difficult match.

“What we have been able to know about Corinthians is that they have arrived with a good score, they won all their group stage matches and were in first place”, declared the soccer player during an interview with ‘La Oral Deportiva’ of Radio Ovación.

Although it is a complicated team, Reyes stressed that everything will be left on the court. “We have to face a tough game against them but it is not impossible, we have been doing a good job and I am sure that the team will fight until the end and it will surprise us”, manifested

Alison also spoke about the match against the University of Chile, which had qualified for the semifinals in the previous edition of the tournament. “We knew that this match was key to talking about qualifying for the second round, we had to go out with all the attitude and be 100 percent focused, the goal fell like a bucket of cold water to the Chileans”, express.

On the other hand, he talked about his qualities in the team. “I have been in Alianza for 3 years, since 2019 I have been a captain. One of my qualities is the leadership that I have within the group, I have a good arrival with the girls, they are becoming more leaders in the team and that is why the good results are ”, he pointed.

It is important to mention that Alison Reyes has a goal in the Copa Libertadores 2021. The captain of the ‘Intimas’ scored the fifth against Real Tomayapo after a corner kick.
