University was defeated in the friendly against Cantolao in Campo Mar

They want to stay active. Universitario de Deportes is clear about their objectives for the new season and, because of this, they decided to face Cantolao in what was a friendly match with a view to the Cream Night, the start of League 1 and their participation in Phase 2 of the Libertadores Cup.

The duel between the ‘Delfín’ and the cream team had two times of 35 minutes, the final winner being the Cantolao team. In the first half they won 2-1 and in the second half they ended up with a 0-0 draw.

In the first duel of the morning, played at the Campo Mar headquarters, Universitario formed with: Diego Romero; José Zevallos, Federico Alonso, Nelinho Quina, Nelson Cabanillas; Ángel Cayetano, Alfonso Barco; Joao Villamarín, Hernán Novick, Piero Quispe and Alberto Quintero.

In the second match against ‘Delfín’, Gregorio Pérez decided to send: José Carvallo; Aldo Corzo, Leonardo Rugel, Piero Guzmán, Rafael Guarderas; Gerson Barreto, Armando Alfageme, Jorge Murrugarra; Luis Urruti, Alexander Succar and Alex Valera.

A few days from the Cream Night

University will be presented to its fans, next January 8, in the so-called Cream Night. The event will be held at the Monumental Stadium and the rival of Ate’s team will be the powerful Millonarios, one of the leading squads of the recent Colombian competition.

Cream members may start the purchase between December 28, 29 and 30, while adherent members will do so on December 31, January 1 and 2. Each person will have the possibility of obtaining two seats. Finally, the general public will buy their tickets from January 4.
