Peruvian national team: know the itinerary of the week in Ricardo Gareca’s team

Lima, January 5, 2022Updated on 05/01/2022 12:38 pm

The Peruvian team will start 2022 with a lot of football activity, which also requires timely physical preparation. Precisely, the technical command led by Ricardo Gareca has been working for a few days in La Videna, initially thinking about the friendlies against Panama and Jamaica in Lima.

The ‘Tigre’ just joined the training session last Tuesday, but had constant communication with the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) to agree on the itinerary for the week. After fine-tuning some details, this Wednesday it was revealed what tasks the ‘Blanquirroja’ will carry out during the next few days.

According to the schedule, the Peruvian team will continue to practice at La Videna until Saturday, January 8 (daily at 9:00 am), although some changes could arise along the way. Faced with this possibility, the FPF promised to announce any changes.

For now, most of those selected for the friendlies are from the local tournament, since it is not a FIFA date and many of the foreign players will not be able to participate. However, there are some exceptional cases, such as Pedro Gallese, Marcos López or Alexander Callens, who have already received the corresponding permission from their MLS clubs.

  • January 20: Perú vs. Jamaica – 8:00 p. m.

After the preparation games, Ricardo Gareca will refine the details for the double date of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers.
