Carlos Zambrano was not taken into account for the Boca Juniors duel against Colo Colo

One day after the meeting between Boca Juniors in view of colo colo, coach Sebastián Battaglia confirmed the squad for the match summer tournament. One of the absentees will be the Peruvian Carlos Zambrano. The other national who plays in the team, Luis Advíncula, was considered.

The other absences for the friendly match are those of: Marcos Rojo, Jorman Campuzano, Norberto Briasco, Valentín Barco, Marcelo Weigandt, Agustín Almendra and Cristian Pavón.

Boca Juniors will debut in the competition against Colo Colo, who comes from beating the University of Chile. Group A is made up of the three teams, while Group B is made up of: San Lorenzo, Independiente and Talleres.

Sebastián Battaglia, coach of the xeneize team, has not yet confirmed the starting team. Boca is preparing to face the local tournament and also the Copa Libertadores, a pending competition to win and which they have not won since the 2007 season.

The Argentine press speculates that the starting eleven would be with: Agustín Rossi; Luis Advíncula, Carlos Izquierdoz, Gastón Ávila, Frank Fabra; Diego Gonzalez, Alan Varela, Juan Ramirez; Eduardo Salvio, Nicolas Orsini and Sebastian Villa.

The last time Colo Colo faced Boca Juniors was for the 2008 Copa Libertadores, in the group stage. Both won at home, the Argentines 4-3 and the Chileans 2-0.
