Luis Díaz: Tottenham would have submitted an offer to Porto for the Colombian national team player

Luis Díaz’s 2021-2022 season with Porto is spectacular, since to date he has played 28 games in which he has scored 16 goals. A couple of days ago, he scored one in his team’s win (3-1) against Famalicao for the Portuguese First Division.

For this reason, the winger—who had a great performance with the Colombian team in the 2021 Copa América—has aroused the interest of several teams from other European leagues. That would be the case of Tottenham Hotspur of the Premier League

According to the Portuguese newspapers ‘Record’ and ‘Bola’, the English club would have launched a juicy offer of 45 million euros to the ‘Blue Dragons’ for the player. However, that money is far from the Colombian’s termination clause, which would amount to €80 million.

For now, Luis Díaz is focused for his team’s matches for the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers against Peru (1/28) and Argentina (2/1). So far, the ‘Cafeteros’ are in fourth place in the table with the same number of points as the ‘Blanquirroja’ (17), but with a better goal difference.

Luis Diaz: Teams

The ‘Tiburón’ debuted in Barranquilla FC of the Second Division of Colombia in 2016 and then signed for Junior (2017) after showing great performance. With the ‘Rojiblancos’ he played three seasons and became the top figure of his team. Then, he signed for Porto (2019).

In addition, he has scored two goals in 12 games with his team in the Qualifiers. Luis Díaz scored one against Peru in his team’s thrashing (3-0) in Lima and inflated the nets in the victory (3-1) against Chile in Barranquilla.
