Far from Santiago Chile will seek to return to the path of triumph in the Qatar 2022 Qualifying when you receive the already classified Argentina in the Foxes of the Desert Stadium, in Calama. The ‘Red’ made the decision to take the match to 2,200 meters above sea level to try to gain an advantage over their rival, who is not used to playing in such scenarios. The exciting match, which will be played this Thursday, January 27 from 7:15 p.m. (local time), will be televised and broadcast by the signals of Chilevision, TyC Sports, Public TV and Movistar Sports.
The Chilean team comes from beating Paraguay by the slightest difference in visiting conditions and falling home, surprisingly, at the hands of Ecuador (0-2). In this last defeat they also lost one of their references: Arturo vidal, who received a red card and was left out of the match against Argentina in Calama. Likewise, the “Red” played two friendly matches in the United States against Mexico (2-2) and El Salvador (1-0) at the end of 2021.
The Argentine team, for its part, sealed its qualification for the Qatar 2022 World Cup on the last double date in which it beat Uruguay in Montevideo and tied with Brazil in San Juan. Of course, because they already have the ticket in hand, Lionel Scaloni’s technical command decided not to summon their top star: Lionel Messi. The ‘Flea’ will not be present with the ‘Albiceleste’ on this occasion.
