Google Domains, the firm’s web domain provider, is now available after seven years of testing

Google has officially launched its domain provider after having it in beta for seven years, a service that comes with tools to create an ‘online’ presence and a guarantee of support, privacy and security with its own infrastructure.

Google Domains has “millions of active registrations” since its appearance in beta version in 2015, which has made the company aware of “how valuable” a domain name is for those who want to start a business or expand their brand on the Internet.

Since then, more tools and features have been added, and finally this Tuesday the company has made it available to the general public in 26 countries, as reported in a statement published on its official blog.

This service offers more than 300 domain endings, as well as tools with which to create a website and work together with other company services, such as Workspace or Maps, to create and extend the online presence.

Google Domains uses the same infrastructure as Google, and offers high-performance DNS accessible from anywhere in the world. It also offers privacy and security features such as two-factor verification and one-click Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC).
