This is what the terrifying remake of Resident Evil 4 looks like [VIDEO]

capcom has offered a new look at the long-awaited Resident Evil 4 Remake through unreleased material from a playable section. The gameplay was shared as part of the Capcom Showcase 2022, a recent event of the Japanese company.

The video shows key settings of the main story under a rather gloomy aspect, such as the forest where the adventure of Leon S. Kennedy, the main character of the installment, begins.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is the reimagining of the GameCube classic, originally released in 2005. The remake will feature Yasuhiro Anpo as director (who also directed Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil Revelations 2) and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi as producer (position he held in the creation of Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil Remake). Both professionals commented on the new trailer, stating that they are “carefully preserving everything that makes the original game special, while updating it with modern touches so that everyone can enjoy it when it comes out in 2023″.

Here we show you the gameplay:

The game’s plot continues the events of Resident Evil 2 and 3, six years after the destruction of Raccoon City. Survivor and weapons expert Leon S. Kennedy is sent by the United States government to a remote town in Europe to retrieve the president’s daughter. However, he finds that the inhabitants have lost all use of reason and humanity.

“To give more effectiveness to the concept of ‘terror towards people controlled by madness,’ the cattle have been completely redesigned,” say Capcom representatives. “We want to achieve a perfect feeling of fear and lonelinessof not knowing what you’ll find next, even more so than in the original.”

Resident Evil 4 Remake will be available on March 24, 2023 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
