Electric mobility: portable hydrogen would soon be a reality with this prototype

In electric mobility New forms of use continue to appear. This time the brand Toyota and Woven Planet have developed a functional prototype of a portable hydrogen cartridge that will facilitate the daily transport and supply of hydrogen energy from any type of electrical device.

The tests are taking place in Woven City, a smart city currently under construction in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

Why is hydrogen important? Specialists point to it as a promising solution against pollution, since it does not emit polluting gases. Hydrogen is even produced based on renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, geothermal and biomass.

Now, one of the main features of cartridges is that they provide portable, affordable and convenient power that allows hydrogen to be brought to where people live, work and play without the use of pipelines.

His weight is 5 kg. In addition, due to its shape it is interchangeable for easy replacement and quick recharging. Due to its size, it can meet power needs in remote, un-electrified areas and be dispatched quickly in the event of a disaster.

This project has the support of the Japanese government, as the objective is to reduce the use of carbon energy, first in Japan and then throughout the world.
