The electromobility is causing another change. This time Toyota, based on the technology used in electric cars, has designed a battery to be used safely in homes, according to the concept of “safety, long life, high quality, excellent price and high performance”.
It is called the O-Uchi Kyuden System and uses such batteries to provide a nominal capacity of 8.7 kilowatt-hours (kWh) and a nominal output of 5.5 kWh.

Its existence serves a very practical purpose as it would not only serve for everyday situations, but even during power outages caused by natural disasters. In this sense, the Toyota brand considers that the use of this system will encourage the use of solar energy, which is a renewable energy.
Another important detail, according to this age of interconnectivity, is that the operating mode and other settings can be viewed and operated in real time from a dedicated application on a smartphone or tablet.
For the time being, sales in Japan are reported to start in August through homebuilders and general construction companies.
