Sony expands its catalog with 3LCD, laser projectors for bright environments

Sony has introduced WUXGA 3LCD laser projectors, two devices that provide sharper and clearer images in high-light environments and combine advanced operating features such as Bright View and Reality Creation.

The new models are VPL-PHZ61 and VPL-PHZ51, two compact projectors that are easy to install in spaces with a vertical displacement of the lens of more than 55 percent, according to the company in a statement.

The most outstanding aspect of both is their luminositysince the first one has 6,400 lumens (7,000 lumens in the center), while the second has 5,300 lumens (5,800 lumens in the central area).

Thanks to this quality, the new launches of Sony can project clear images, even in spaces with good lighting conditions, such as meeting rooms or places reserved for conferences.

This sharpness and clarity is also due to Reality Creation, Sony’s real-time processing, mapping and analysis technology that promotes the effective presentation and display of playback content.

Both the VPL-PHZ61 and VPL-PHZ51 include a 4K 60P input to support 4K video sources. In this sense, the Japanese manufacturer has stressed that the projectors do not need a converter when used with other 4K equipment to project content with this resolution simultaneously.

He also pointed out that the two 3LCD laser projectors are compatible with Deep Color of HDMI and HDCP2.3, while Reality Text functionality improves text presentation materials through more readable letters and lines.

This technology is combined with Ambiance, a feature that automatically measures room brightness with an ambient light sensor and calibrates Bright View, Reality Creation and color gain settings.

Among other outstanding features of these projectors is the automatic light output, due to the aforementioned sensor, which saves on energy consumption, since the brightness of the device is controlled automatically at night.
