Apple TV + would plan to include advertising in its streaming service by 2023

AppleTV+ would be negotiating the arrival of advertising to its streaming service, according to a report by the Digiday media. The US company would be preparing to apply the changes at the beginning of 2023.

So far, Apple’s streaming service was the only one that hadn’t touched on the hype. Market leaders Netflix and Disney+ will launch plans with announcements in the coming months. There is no doubt that the cheaper price attracts consumers, especially during this period of inflation and a weak economic climate.

While Apple TV+ has received a lot of praise when it comes to industry awards, viewership for the service remains low. It is estimated to have about 5% of the US TV streaming market share. A level with advertising could boost the adoption of the TV+ service and attract much more audience.

Ad-supported plans also help mitigate price increases, as streaming services focus less on subscriber growth and target profitability. Disney+, for example, will launch an advertising plan in December at the same price as its ad-free service today, $7.99 per month. At the same time, the price of its ad-free plan will increase to $11 per month.

As indicated in the source of the information, the Cupertino company has already had conversations with different media agencies to sell, exclusively, the introduction of advertising in its content.

Commanding operations would be Todd Teresi, Apple’s head of advertising. If the negotiations are confirmed, things are more than clear, the announcements will reach Apple TV +.

On the other hand, it is not known whether a new cheaper subscription will be launched that includes advertising or if it will be added by default to the existing one.

will have to wait at the beginning of the year 2023 which is when it is indicated that the change of procedure of the firm of the bitten apple would be announced on its streaming video platform.
