But every date has a limit and February 2023 will be deactivated and removed Internet Explorer 11, the latest version of the browser, with a mandatory Windows update for all users. Once deactivated, it can no longer be used.

Specifically, Internet Explorer 11 will be completely disabled with the February 2023 Cumulative Update, exactly on the second Patch Day of 2023 that will remove it from Windows 10.

“The deprecated and unsupported Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) desktop app will be permanently disabled on certain versions of Windows 10 as part of the Windows February 2023 security update (“B”) release scheduled for February 14 2023. We recommend configuring IE mode in Microsoft Edge and disabling IE11 before this date to ensure that your organization does not experience business interruptions”reads on the official Microsoft website.
