They worked on the Tesla Model S and now they create an electric caravan that almost tows itself | VIDEO

Ben Parker and Toby Kraus worked a few years ago on the design of the Tesla Model S. Today they are co-founders of Lightship, a company working on an electric caravan that can practically tow itself.

This is the Lightship L1. Thanks to its motors located on the wheels and an 80kWh battery, the equipment can count on some autonomy for transport.

And it is that the former engineers not only worked at Tesla. Rivian, Proterra, Lucid and Zoox also worked, and all this experience has been taken to their own equipment that could go on sale in 2025, but which is already separated for the cost of 500 dollars.

Its size is adjustable and can reach 8.2 m long, 2.5 m wide and up to 3 m high when it is ‘in camping mode’, reported the Motor Passion page. It has the facility of having solar panels on the roof capable of generating up to 3 kW.

All this space can serve as a living room and bedroom, according to the needs, with access to the connection of electrical appliances. In addition, it has a bathroom with a shower, WC and sink. Its final cost can reach 125 thousand dollars, almost half a million soles.
