This is Opera One, the version of the browser adapted to artificial intelligence

Opera has presented Opera One, the version of the browser with a modular design and prepared to adapt to the new functions based on artificial intelligence (AI) generative that will replace its flagship browser for Windows, MacOS, and Linux later this year.

Opera One is the latest announcement that its managers make regarding the implementation of generative AI in their products, after recently reporting features such as AI Prompts and the integration of the popular ChatGPT and ChatSonic in the browser’s sidebar.

The company is now looking “transform the way users interact with their browser, providing a more fluid and intuitive experience”and for this it has provided the early access version of Opera One.

The new version of the browser adopts a modular design with which it will offer more power and functions and will support “the new developments of generative AI”which will be incorporated in the future both in the sidebar and in the address bar, as indicated by Opera in a press release.

Opera One also includes ChatGPT, ChatSonic and the new feature of IA Prompts enabled by default.

Besides, the browser has built in a new multithreaded composerwith which it improves performance, and acquires more speed and fluidity in the user interface.

With the multi-threaded composer, the ‘Tab Islands’ function is also enabled, which allows several related tabs to be kept together in contextual groups. Each island of tabs will be marked by borders and a different color for easy identification.

Opera’s Product Director, Joanna Czajka, has also pointed out that “Opera One is Opera’s first step towards intelligent, modular design” and includes the release of its own AI engine, which is coming in the coming months. The company expects to replace its flagship browser for Windows, MacOS, and Linux with this new version later this year.
