Elon Musk warned about the dangers of artificial intelligence during a meeting organized by the Wall Street Journal. The CEO of companies like Twitter, Tesla and SpaceX expressed concern about the possibility of AI taking control of humanity. Musk noted that there is a small chance that the artificial intelligence can annihilate humanity.
“There is a minuscule probability of annihilating humanity, but the percentage is not zero,” said the billionaire.

The billionaire also raised the idea that AI could become a kind of “uber-nanny” that guarantees the safety of human beings. Musk argued that if a technological genius is granted the power to fulfill any wish, this carries certain risks.
Despite his distrust of AI, Musk has poured significant amounts of money into developing it for his own companies.
In March, the businessman signed an open letter calling for a 6-month moratorium on the advancement of the most advanced AI models, citing potential dangers such as the spread of misinformation and job automation.
During his speech, Musk mentioned that while he doesn’t use AI much in his daily life, Tesla makes significant use of it. Furthermore, he suggested the need for a third competitor in the artificial intelligence race, beyond the association.
