Station Cosmos: the hotel that makes you ‘travel’ to a space station on Mars | PHOTOS

In 1990 the director Paul Verhoven took us to Marswith his film Total Recall, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Today there is a hotel that makes us ‘travel’ to that planet, with environments very close to a science fiction movie.

Using the latest in technology and engineering, the Station Cosmos hotel was built by Futuroscope and is only one year old. It is located 300 km from Paris, the French capital.

The fact that it is far from the city allows the theme hotel to play with the imagination from the outside, with futuristic vehicles, huge machinery that makes one think of space stations from the movies.

The report of El Español-Omicrono points out that the reddish sand, abandoned spaceships and an aerospace aesthetic make the visitor confused. Then, there are samples of Martian rock, long corridors with metal walls and dim lighting.

Thanks to its construction technology, the Station Cosmos hotel was awarded as “Best eco-responsible initiative” at the Park World Excellence Awards. Its 100% ecological approach is included in both water and energy management, and because it is self-sufficient thanks to its photovoltaic panels.

But, in addition to all the sensation of space travel, the hotel adds a roller coaster with maximum speeds of up to 55 km/h, a platform that simulates the inside of a tornado or an upside-down house are some examples.
