Mark Zuckerberg says that Elon Musk is not serious and decides to end the organization of his fight

The public showdown between the tech titans mark zuckerberg and Elon Musk has taken a decisive turn. After Musk challenged Zuckerberg to a cage fight, the Meta CEO has turned down the proposal, saying Elon isn’t taking the situation seriously and it’s time to put the bragging behind him.

The contest had been proposed by Musk after the launch of Threads – dubbed the Twitter of Meta – and Zuckerberg initially accepted the challenge. However, a series of back-and-forth messages and evasions by Musk led Zuckerberg to definitively close the possibility of the event in a message shared on Threads. “I think we agree that Elon is not serious and we have to move on.”Zuckerberg said.

In his message, Zuckerberg also mentioned that he had offered an actual date for the fight and that Dana White, president of the UFC, had offered to set up a legitimate fight. However, Musk did not confirm a date and continued with ambiguous responses. Mark Zuckerberg expressed his frustration at both the lack of seriousness and what he considered hesitations by Elon Musk.

Musk has given various excuses for not fighting, including a back injury, scheduling issues and the need for surgery. He has also proposed to fight in the Colosseum in Rome, but Zuckerberg has rejected this proposal.

In a subsequent exchange of messages, Elon Musk shared screenshots showing Zuckerberg proposing a date and Musk suggesting they could fight in their own ‘Octagon’ in Palo Alto later that day. However, Musk added a dose of skepticism about the feasibility of the fight and joked that Zuckerberg could be a “Bruce Lee” and win despite the size difference.

The announcement of the cancellation of the event has disappointed many fans, who expected to see the two billionaires face off in a wrestling match. However, Zuckerberg has said that he is still open to fighting Musk, but only if Musk is serious about the event.

“If Elon ever gets serious about the date and wants an official event, you know how to contact me.”Zuckerberg wrote. “I am going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously”.
