Eight Peruvians win Innovators Under 35 LATAM 2023 awards in science and technology

Peru finished as the country with the most recognition in the ninth edition of the Innovators Under 35 LATAM 2023 (IU35 LATAM) awards, which values ​​the work of young people under 35 years of age who use Science and Technology to provide solutions to urgent issues in Latin America.

Eight Peruvians were recognized for their commitment to the development of science and technology with high impact on society, as detailed by Opinno and MIT Technology Review in Spanish. The full list can be seen HERE.

This list of innovators was selected by an International Jury Committee and is made up of innovators from Argentina (six winners), Bolivia (one winner), Brazil (two winners), Chile (two winners), Colombia (five winners), Ecuador (three winners), Mexico (six winners), Venezuela (two winners) and Peru (eight winners).

Among young Latin Americans, eight innovators from Peru stand out. They are Aldo Galli, Giannina Honorio, Jorge Rojas, Miguel Ángeles, Rodrigo Coquis, Vania Rivero, Victor Morales and Viviana Rojas, who were selected thanks to their research and studies related to nanotechnology, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, sustainability and software, aimed at improving people’s quality of life.

On the other hand, being the country with the highest number of winners, Peru will also host the IU35 LATAM awards for the second consecutive year and will receive the 35 most talented young people from all of Latin America.

The IU35LATAM 2023 awards ceremony will take place on October 26 at the facilities of the ESAN University Convention Center. It will also be broadcast via streaming on the official IU35LATAM YouTube channel.
