Samsung’s new televisions are powered by AI technology integrated into the device, allowing them to become the center of the connected home and go beyond quality experiences, as highlighted by the president and director of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, SW Yong.

Samsung has equipped the model Neo QLED 8K from 2024 with the NQ8 IA Gen3 processor, which features a neural processing unit (NPU) twice as fast as its predecessor with its 512 neural networks.

This processor also enables improvements in image quality with ‘8K AI Upscaling Pro’ upscaling technology. It also solves moving image problems, such as in sports, with the ‘AI Motion Enhancer Pro’ solution; and add details to moving scenes to highlight their realism and three-dimensionality with ‘Real Depth Enhancer Pro’.

Neo QLED 8K arrives with the Tizen 2024 operating system, and also offers a 12.9mm deep screen design, and audio technologies such as ‘Q-Symphony 2024’, which allows you to connect and synchronize several wireless speakers and a sound bar to a television or projector, and the ‘Active Voice Amplifier Pro’ dialogue amplifier.

On the other hand, the MicroLED television family presents the new transparent MICRO LED, designed for home and business use cases, in which the technology company has poured years of experience in semiconductors to create a product that integrates the LED chip operating circuits.

This manufacturing process mitigates gloss loss by eliminating seams and light refraction, resulting in a clear, unobstructed image, as explained by Samsung.

The 2024 OLED range, for its part, offers large-inch models, ranging from 48 inches to 83 inches. They come with ‘Glare Free’ technology, which preserves color accuracy and reduces reflections, while maintaining the sharpness of the image.

The 77-inch S95D model offers a 144Hz refresh rate and patented image engines that “preserve perfect whites, deeper blacks and precise colors,” features also designed for video games.

NEW LIFESTYLE PRODUCTS

Samsung’s Lifestyle TV lineup includes The Frame, The Serif and The Terrace along with The Premier and The Freestyle projectors, which are getting updates in new 2024 models.

The Frame, the screen that displays art pieces when turned off, includes a new streaming feature that offers a sample of 20 free works each month from the Art Store catalog, which provides hand-selected works of art monthly. Thus, users will be able to find more than 2,100 works of art from museums and galleries around the world.

It also includes smart features such as premium picture-free home audio, cloud gaming, always-on voice with far-field microphone, and four screen divisions with Multi View. Additionally, the projector incorporates Samsung’s patented ‘Sound On-Screen’ technology, which integrates the top speaker module and software algorithms to deliver a surround sound experience.

The second generation of The Freestyle incorporates Smart Edge Blending, a solution that allows the projections of two The Freestyle devices to be merged to create a large screen of up to 160 inches and 21:9 for images and videos.

NEW SOUND BARS

To complete a home entertainment system, Samsung has also introduced new sound bar models, such as W-Q990D, which offers an 11.1.4 channel sound experience with True Dolby Atmos sound at 4K 120Hz.

Additionally, the sound catalog includes the customizable Music Frame speaker, which is compatible with SmartThings and provides surround sound when paired with Samsung TVs and sound bars.
