Ballie, Samsung’s assistant robot, returned improved and with artificial intelligence at CES 2024

Every year, the CES It is a showcase for the largest technology companies (and also those that are starting out and have revolutionary ideas) to surprise the world with their proposals. This 2024, in addition to the first screen transparent microLED and improvements in the functions of its televisions thanks to a third-generation AI processor, the South Korean Samsung drew attention among those attending the fair with an accompanying robot that aims to make the life of those who have it at home easier.

Ballie is the name of the prototype that had already been presented in 2020, but this time it returned with several improvements, in addition to a simple but striking design.

The mission of Ballie It is being an assistant who visits different parts of the home to offer solutions. For example, it monitors your surroundings for smart appliances or devices and sends security alerts about things as diverse as needs on your shopping list or the status of a pet left home alone.

Thanks to the use of artificial intelligence and connectivity between the products of Samsung, Ballie It can autonomously take charge of household tasks, as it learns patterns to anticipate the user’s needs in activities such as turning on a lamp at a specific time or answering calls.

Another characteristic of Ballie is that it has a projector with which it offers entertainment but also assistance and support in its owner’s routine. If the person needs to exercise, the robot projects videos with dynamics similar to what the user needs or sets the mood with some music or adjusting the lighting.

The projector Ballie It can also be used for video calls and news alerts, the weather of the day or events on the agenda, but also to project welcome messages when you arrive home.

For now, Ballie It does not have an official launch date on the market and is part of Samsung’s 2024 strategy focused on using artificial intelligence to improve people’s lives.
