The Apple Vision Pro are updated to correct an important bug related to the unlock code

The new version of the visionOS operating system introduces a feature that allows you to reset the Manzana Vision Pro in case you have forgotten the password, something that until now was only possible by taking the device to a brand store or through the AppleCare repair service.

The company launched its mixed reality (MR) glasses earlier this month and, for the moment, they are only sold in the United States, for a price starting at $3,499. This device allows access to more than a million applications from iOS and iPadOS.

To use it, users must enter a password that, if forgotten, must be changed in one of the brand’s official stores or have the assistance of the AppleCare service, according to what Bloomberg announced a few days ago, which pointed out that these credentials do not They could be modified from its Configuration section.

Now, Apple has shared a change in the latest update to the operating system that Apple Vision Pro works with, visionOS, which introduces the ability to reset the device if you have forgotten the access password.

In addition to eliminating the need to take the device to an Apple store or send it through the AppleCare service to recover it, this update, visionOS 1.0.3, “provides important bug fixes,” although the firm has not clarified which ones.

It is worth remembering that, if the Vision Pro settings are restored, the so-called Activation Lock will be maintained, a native function of Apple devices designed to prevent any user other than the owner from using them in the event of theft or loss.
