Google seeks to improve the experience of Youtube on the TV with the possibility of going directly to one of the key moments automatically generated in the videos.
The technology company has begun to automatically mark key moments on YouTube on the television in all videos, as reported by the executive director of this platform, Neal Mohan, in X.
With this novelty, users who access YouTube videos on their television will be able to jump directly to the parts that are of interest to them, especially the longer ones.
This function is similar to chapters, although in this second feature it is the video creators who divide the content, and not an automated system. In both cases, those moments appear as timestamps in the video’s progress bar.
