Boris Johnson: “Russian invasion of Ukraine would be a political and military disaster for the world”

Johnson, who called to avoid a “bloodbath” in Ukraine before traveling to Kiev, intends to speak by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin on his return to London.

For his part, Zelensky claimed to have discussed various measures with the British prime minister to contain Russia.

“My opinion is known. The word containment demonstrates its logic. Any measures are effective before and not after. Better safe than sorry,” she noted.
