After 16 years of searching, Rosalía López and Yasir Macías recovered their son, stolen a day after he was born at clinic 45 of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) in Guadalajara, Mexico. The Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office reported that based on new evidence provided by the parents, personnel from the investigation unit for crimes committed against Girls, Boys and Adolescents implemented an operation that gave positive results.

The minor was born on December 13, 2005 and a day later was abducted by a woman posing as a pediatric assistant.

Although his parents reported him missing immediately, the authorities found no clues to locate him at the time. But the parents did not give up and finally found him.

The Prosecutor’s Office reported that the investigations of the case continue, because although the adolescent was located, the details of what happened to him after his kidnapping are not yet known.

For his part, the state governor, Enrique Alfaro, pointed out in his social networks that in September 2021 the Jalisciense Institute of Forensic Sciences carried out a facial analysis of the baby and from it a portrait was made of how it might look today.

“Search operations were carried out and, like a miracle, we have found it. A few days ago a young man with these characteristics was identified, all the genetic tests were done, both on him and on his mother and father, and a few moments ago girl and his family officially received the news they had been waiting for 16 years. They will be together again.”, the president pointed out.
