Pope Francis affirms in Russian that “every war is a shameful surrender”

This Friday, the Pope Francisco sent a tweet in several languages, including Russian, in which he alluded to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. The pontiff pointed out Twitter what “every war is a shameful claudication”.

The tweet, also published in Italian, Portuguese, Polish, French, English, Spanish, German and Arabic, was accompanied by the hashtags #Pray Together and #Ukraine.

Francis went this Friday to the Russian embassy to the Holy See to demonstrate “his concern about the war” in Ukraine.
