Mariupol confirms that more than 1,200 civilians have been killed in nine days of Russian attacks

A total of 1,207 civilians from Mariupol died since the beginning of the Russian siege of that strategic port of Ukrainenine days ago, the city mayor indicated this Wednesday.

“Nine days. nine day lockdown Mariupol (…). Nine days – 1,207 civilians killed. Nine days of genocide of the civilian population”indicated the mayor’s office in a message posted on Telegram along with a video with statements by the mayor, hours after Russian bombing destroyed a pediatric hospital in the city.
