Users were perplexed by the businessman’s crazy proposal and some asked him if he was serious. “Did you think this through? Or am I missing something?”, asked one of his followers. “I’m absolutely serious,” Musk replied.

Would you be surprised if I accept your challenge?”, asked a Twitter user. “It would be an honor”, The CEO of the space manufacturer SpaceX replied without hesitation.

Other users began to speculate what a hand-to-hand fight between Musk and Putin would be like, and even dared to risk the final result. “The fight would be over in 10 seconds. It would just depend on how much damage Elon wanted to do and how fast. Nothing more”, Said a tweeter who compared the weight and body mass of the businessman with the Russian president. “Elon is also 19 years younger”, he added. Musk himself replied that 10 seconds would be “quite” time.

The debate continued with all kinds of arguments regarding the physical power of the creator of Tesla and one of the users quoted a fragment of a book published in 2015, Elon Musk: The entrepreneur who anticipates the future, by author Ashlee Vance. In the post, Musk himself tells the anecdote of the day he knocked down a sumo wrestler who weighed more than 150 kilos at an exclusive party.

“One of the best sumo wrestlers in the world showed up at the party along with some of his countrymen. A ring had been set up in the castle and Musk faced the champion. “He weighed three hundred and fifty pounds (about 150 kilos), and they were no cakewalk,” Musk said. ‘I was filled with adrenaline and managed to lift the guy off the ground. He let me win that first round and then he beat me. I think my back is still screwed up.’”says the excerpt from the book.

This is not the first time that Musk has used social networks to express his ideas about the war in Ukraine. Hours before challenging Putin to a fight, published two memes that caused outrage among users.

In the first, he mocked users showing themselves with the Ukrainian flag as a sign of support for the country that is being invaded by Russian troops. “I support the current thing”, says the image. “Elon, I am a huge fan of yours. But this is insensitive. I can’t say I’m not disappointed, ”answered one of his followers.

In the second meme, Musk went even further and criticized the Netflix streaming platform. The image has the character of Pablo Escobar in the series narcs and the following caption:Netflix waiting for the war to end to make a movie about a black Ukrainian boy who falls in love with a transgender Russian soldier”. Angry, a tweeter commented: “Thanks for reminding me why I will never buy one of your cars.”.
