From the basement of the hospital to shelter from the bombing, Iryna recounted: “On the first day of the war, all pregnant women and mothers were evacuated to the basement. It was a terrible three hours that we spent together.”

He continued: “Unfortunately, we can’t bring down the babies who are in intensive care because they need to be with certain life-saving equipment. The first days were the most difficult. We had to learn to work with bombing.”
