New massacre in Ukraine: bodies of 5 men with their hands tied are found in a basement in Bucha

The bodies of five men with their hands tied were found in the basement of a children’s health center in Buchaa city that was in the hands of the Russian forces, reported on Monday the general prosecutor’s office of Ukraine in a statement on Telegram.

“In the basement of one of the children’s sanatoriums, the police found the bodies of five men with their hands tied”, the statement said. “Soldiers of the Russian armed forces tortured and killed unarmed civilians,” the text adds.

The statement was accompanied by photographs showing the bodies, and prosecutor Irina Venediktova’s office said an investigation had been opened into the circumstances of their deaths.

Western countries on Monday called for an investigation into “war crimes” allegedly committed by the Russian military in the kyiv region, which Moscow flatly denied but Ukraine called “genocide.”

Dozens of bodies in civilian clothes were discovered this weekend in the streets and mass graves of Bucha, on the northwestern outskirts of the Ukrainian capital, after Russian forces withdrew from the city.
