Ukraine asks Russia to “reduce its hostility” in negotiations

The Ukrainian authorities asked Russia to “reduce its hostility” in the negotiations, after Moscow accused its interlocutors of modifying proposals made during their meeting at the end of March in Istanbul.

“Yes Russia he wants to show that he is willing to dialogue, he must reduce his hostility”, declared on Twitter an adviser to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mijailo Podoliak, part of the Ukrainian delegation in these negotiations.

Russia accused on Thursday Ukraine having changed his mind and modified some of his own proposals that were made during the negotiations.

According to the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, the Ukrainian negotiators “presented a draft agreement in which it is clear that they are going back on the most important points agreed on March 29 in Istanbul.”

“With all this we see that the kyiv regime is controlled by Washington and its allies, which push President (Ukrainian Volodimyr) Zelensky to continue fighting,” Lavrov added.
