Immediately, the director of Security of Municipal Public Buildings, Christian Lopez, notified the patrols and they went in search of the driver, who was aboard a Fiorino truck. After discovering the rifle inside him, they forced him out of the vehicle and placed him under arrest.

Together with the personnel of the Urban Prevention Guard of the Municipality and the police of Buenos Airesthe troops searched the van and inside it they found, in addition to the rifle, a knife and a razor.

A minor was also found in the van who claimed to be the son of the ‘crazy man with the rifle’, the same one who stated that they had been traveling for three days from Neuquen.

During his detention, the man, who was recognized as having altered mental faculties, repeatedly stated that “Who is going to fight the war if women are in charge, I am going to take charge of killing Cristina”.

The subject was taken to the nearest police station pending an investigation for carrying firearms and for a possible threat against the authorities.
