A Tibet Airlines plane caught fire on Thursday morning at the Chongqing airport (southwest of China) after going off the runway, state media said, reporting injured passengers.

“A plane from Chongqing to Lhasa at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport skidded off the runway, causing an aircraft fire”said the state television channel CCTV.

All 113 passengers and nine crew members were evacuated, the airline said in a post on the Weibo social media platform.
